Fire Department
Helena Fire Department provides a professional, quality, effective, skillful, safe and caring service to protect our community whenever and wherever needed.
Human Resources
Human Resources is responsible for recruitment, employee development, employee records management, personnel policies, employee benefits, payroll administration, labor relations, safety, risk management and property loss & prevention.
Information Technology
IT&S has assumed the responsibility for implementing and managing all technology projects for both the City of Helena and Lewis & Clark County.
Municipal Court
Municipal Court is part of the state judicial system and enforces statutory laws and processes all misdemeanor offenses occurring within the City of Helena.
Parks/Recreation
Parks and Recreation Department oversees Parks, Open Lands, Recreation, Weed Control, Tree Maintenance, Aquatics and the Bill Roberts Golf Course.
Police Department
Helena Police Department provides law enforcement services within the city, including criminal investigations, response to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, animal control, abandoned vehicles and parking enforcement. The department also administers Support Services, which provides criminal records management and the 911-dispatch center.
Public Works
Public Works Administration is responsible for programs in Engineering, Streets and Solid Waste, Shop and Fleet Services, Water/Wastewater Treatment and Utility Maintenance.
Administrative Services (Finance)
Administrative Services handles all the utility customer services, licenses, accounting and budgeting for the City of Helena government and its citizens.
City Attorney
The City Attorney’s Office provides legal counsel for the City of Helena and serves as legal advisor to the Mayor, City Commission, City staff, board and commissions.
City/County Health Department
City/County Health Department strives to improve and protect the health of all Lewis & Clark County residents.
City Manager
As the City’s chief administrative officer, the Manager is responsible for the administration of all City affairs, services and duties consistent with the City Charter, Ordinances and state and federal laws.
Commission
The Helena City Commission is the legislative and policy-making body of the City.
Community Development
Community Development serves as a professional planning and development resource to elected officials, advisory boards, and the community at large.
Communtiy Facilities
Community Facilities oversees facility and project management for all City owned structures, including the Civic Center.
