Can my child attend more than one park and do I sign a permission slip at each park?

Yes, children are welcome to attend any of the parks hosting Kay’s Kids.  For the children’s safety we require that a permission slip be signed at each park.  Recreation Leaders need to have documentation of parent contact numbers.

What are the age requirements for this program?

We allow children 6-13 years old to attend the program unsupervised.  Children under six are welcome to attend as long as they have a responsible person with them.  Children over 13 are welcome if they are interested and participate in the activities.

Is there a free lunch at all of the parks?

No, the Kids Feed N’ Fun program, operated by Food Share and the Rocky Mountain Development Council, is located in various parks around town.   The parks that have BOTH the Kay’s Kids program and the Kids Feed N’Fun program are: Lincoln, Sherron, Memorial, and Kennedy Park (East Helena).

Do I send a lunch with my child each day?

Yes, if your child attends a park not served by Kids Feed N’ Fun i.e. Lockey and Barney.

What is planned for the kids at Kay’s Kids?

Under the direction and supervision of two Recreation Leaders, the children engage in arts and crafts and games.  In addition, various guests attend the parks to share their talents.  There is a scheduled lunch break and time for free play each day.
